Raita is a condiment in Indian cuisine. Its made of yogurt with raw or cooked vegetables. It usually serves with Indian lunch and Dinner. I made this Raita very simple with yogurt, beet, and some spices.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of grated beets
  • 1 Tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 Tsp black pepper
  • 1Tsp chat masala (optional)
  • 1 Tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste

STEPS TO FOLLOW :

Step 1: Whisk the yogurt for about 1 minute. Now add all the spices and Beet in the yogurt, mix it well. Add 1 or 2 Tbsp water if your yogurt is too thick.

Step 2: Let the Raita chilled in the refrigerator for a couple of hours. served it with your favorite Indian meal or have it as it is.
