INGREDIENTS :
- 1 LB firm tofu
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp oil
- 1 Tbsp minced garlic
- 1 Tbsp minced ginger
- 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 1 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
STEPS TO FOLLOW :
Step 1: first cut tofu into cubes and then coat the tofu with flour. Now in a pan heat some oil and cook tofu until its little crispy, and keep it aside. I cooked my tofu in the air fryer with very little oil. Now in a small bowl mix soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, ketchup, and keep this mixture aside.
Step 2: Now heat 2 to 3 Tbsp oil in a skillet. once its hot add ginger and garlic and then add the sauce mixture. Let everything cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. This way your sauce will thicken up without adding anything. Once it’s cooked add tofu and black pepper. Mix everything well and let it cook for about a minute. Now turn off the stove and serve this delicious tofu with your favorite rice.
Tips:
- you can add some sriracha sauce or green chilis.
- Make sure to use firm tofu. It’s easily available in the supermarket.
- you can also add chicken instead of tofu.
Great recipe! I absolutely love cooking with tofu and even throwing into my curries.
