Golden Milk
Golden milk is a traditional Indian drink that has its roots in Ayurveda. There is a lot of health benefits if you consume golden milk a couple of times a week. It will help you reduce inflammation, boosting your immune system, improving mood, and many more. Golden milk is a mixture of warm milk, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, and honey. You can also use dairy-free milk.
Ingredients
- 11/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tbsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/2 tsp ginger powder or fresh ginger
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp saffron
Instructions
- In a pot add all the ingredients. Mix everything and bring it to boil. Turn off the stove. Strain the milk, and enjoy it warm any time of the day.
Notes
- I am using low-fat milk. You can use any milk you like.
- You can use nondairy milk if you are vegan.
