Chicken Chapli Kababs
Chapli kababs or kebab is a Mughlai influenced minced kebab, usually made from ground beef, mutton, or chicken with various spices in the shape of a patty. Chapli Kebabs can be served as an appetizer or snack, and eaten hot with naan bread, like a sandwich, or eaten as it with spicy chutney.
Ingredients
- 1 LB about 500grams ground chicken
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/2 cup chopped deseed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp Minced garlic
- 1 tbsp Minced ginger
- 1/2 tbsp chopped green chilis
- 1 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh mint
- 1/2 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp Pomegranate seeds powder
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp gram flour
- 1 tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
- cooking oil for shallow frying
Instructions
- Mix ground chicken, onions, tomatoes, green chilies, garlic, ginger, cilantro, and mint.
- Add all the dry spices, and mix well.
- Now add egg and gram flour(Besan) and mix everything. Keep it aside for 5 minutes.
- Make kebab patties with this meat mixture. Shallow fry them on a skillet or a pan.
- Serve it hot with onions, yogurt chutney, or mint chutney.
Notes
- you can use any ground meat of your choice.
- If your kebabs are breaking while it's cooking you can add more gram flour.
- Add more green chilies if you prefer extra spice.
