Cereal Chivda or Chevda (Sweet and Spicy Trail Mix)
Cereal Chivda is a famous Indian snack. Usually, it's fried, made out of potato, Flattened rice, chickpea flour, nuts, and spices. I made it healthier by using cereals, nuts, chia seeds crackers, and very little oil. Kids and adults love this Savory Chivda. This is my family’s all time favorite snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios
- 1 cup Rice Krispies
- 1 cup Original Kellogg’s Special or 1 cup corn flakes
- 12 chia seeds crackers I am using Crunch-master Muliti seed Crackers
- 1/3 cup roasted peanuts
- 1/3 cup roasted unsalted almonds
- 1/3 cup roasted unsalted cashews
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 8 curry leaves Optional
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp red chili powder
- salt to taste
Instructions
- First heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is a little hot add all the spices and nuts.Mix everything well.Now add all the cereals and mix everything well.Cook it for about 2 minutes.
- Now Turn off the stove.let it cool down completely before using it. Enjoy this delicious healthy cereal Chivda with Tea, Coffee or have it as a snack any time of the day.
