INGREDIENTS :
- 400g boneless skinless chicken
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 and a half cup finely chopped onions
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp ginger paste
- 1 Tbsp garlic paste
- 6 Tbsp oil
- 2 Tbsp kasoori methi (dry fenugreek leaves)
- 1 Tbsp cumin powder
- 1 Tbsp black pepper
- 3 Tbsp red chili powder
- 2 Tbsp garam masala
- 2 Tbsp tandoori masala
- pinch of turmeric
- salt to taste
STEPS TO FOLLOW :
Step 1: First in a glass bowl mix yogurt, 1 Tbsp oil, 1 Tbsp red chili powder, 1 Tbsp garam masala, 2 Tbsp tandoori masala, ginger garlic paste, and 1 Tbsp kasoori methi. Now add chicken pieces and mix everything well. Keep this aside for 30 minutes. After 3o minutes, cook your chicken in an air fryer, in the pan or on the grill. Once it is ready, keep it aside.
Step 2: Now heat 5 Tbsp oil in a pan and add finely chopped onions. Keep string till your onions become light golden brown. Now add tomato sauce, salt, 2 Tbsp red chili powder, a pinch of turmeric, 1 tbsp garam masala, 1Tbsp kasoori methi, cumin, and black pepper powder. You can also add some chopped green chilis for extra heat. After adding all the dry spices, add 1 and 1/2 cup water, and mix everything well. Now cover the pan and cook it for about 6 minutes.
step 3: After 6 minutes and once oil starts to separate from the gravy, add cooked chicken and mix it well. Add 1/2 cup water and cover it, cook it for about 5 minutes. Now at this point add 3 Tbsp heavy cream, and cook it for 3 to 4 minutes. Now at this point, you can add more cream if you like. Garnish with cilantro and serve it hot with your favorite Indian bread and rice. Enjoy this delicious chicken with your family and friends.
