Neha’s Multipurpose(NMP) gravy is the base for my many north Indian dishes. It’s only 5 ingredients easy to make gravy.

INGREDIENTS :

  • 3 medium red onions
  • 3/4 cup roasted cashews
  • 2 Tbsp chopped ginger
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 2 green chili’s

 

STEPS TO FOLLOW :

Step 1 : Cut your onions and take the yellow and white eye (middle core) out. Slice your onions thinly. This step is very important.

Step 2 : In a non-stick pan, heat 2 Tbsp oil. Then add sliced onions, cashews, ginger and green chilies. Mix them well. cover the lid and cook it for about 8 minutes. Make sure to mix everything every 2 minutes. Once your onions are soft after about 8 minutes turn off the stove.

Step 3 : Once your onion mixture is cool completely, make it into a fine paste in the blender. Store it in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. Use is as you need it.
