Papdi No Lot
Papdi No Lot( Rice Khichu ) is a Famous Gujarati snack, Khichu (spicy rice dough). It usually served as an afternoon snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour
- 3 cups water
- 8 to 9 chopped green chilies
- 3 tbsp chopped cilantro
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tbsp Ajwain(carom)seeds
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- salt to taste

- pickel masala easily available at any indian supermarket
- 1/2 cup oil
- Cilantro for garnishing
Instructions
- First, add 3 cups water in a nonstick pan, then add cumin, ajwain, salt, green chilies, and baking soda, mix it well.
- Once the water starts boiling, add rice flour slowly and keep mixing it and make sure there are no lumps. Now cover the pan and cook it for 6 to 7 minutes. Keep mixing it in between.
- Your Khichu (Papdi No Lot) should be ready now. Serve it hot with pickle masala and oil and enjoy it with your family and friends.
Notes
1. You can add more green chilies if you want very spicy.
2. You can also top it off with chopped onions, tomatoes, and sev before serving it.
